DescriptionProvide professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the PACU unit. Assist physicians in various procedures related to delivery, postpartum, cesarean sections, circumcisions, and newborn care.Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.Assists physician during examination, treatment and procedures and carries out physician orders.Administers prescribed medications and monitors vital signs.Maintains skills in various medical devices including electronic fetal monitors, hearing screen machines, radiant warmers, epidural pumps, transport isolettes, neopuffs, and birthing beds.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.Qualifications
