The interventional radiology (IR) nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the interventional radiology department. This care includes patient monitoring and assessment, documentation, administering medications, including moderate sedation. The IR nurse should be familiar with equipment that may be used during interventional radiology procedures. The IR nurse will assist in all procedures as needed. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
